Milwaukee County has 22 free and low cost safety-net clinics in addition to five Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's). The FQHC's offer the best option for individuals seeking a clinic to call their medical home. The FQHC's are mandated by the government to charge a small sliding fee ($5 to $30) to access their services and they will accept insurance such as the BadgerCare programs. The FQHC's are open daily and provide an array of services for men, women, and children. For the most up to date list, visit the Medical Society of Milwaukee's Website.
